So has anyone gotten this yet?

It was released last year, and immediately hits you with the head bobbingly good 'Where It All Started'.The comparisons from this track and consquently the rest of the album are with Pete Rock but he seems to have the same sampling style as Premo on the hook.He also MC's,with a litany of guests, and its all 'backpacker rap'(a portion of Hip-Hop that seems to aplly to all MC's who don't rap with the same limited subject matter as 50 these days). The whole vibe of the album is distinctly upbeat and positive and it would be perfect for breakdancing. The kid seems a B-Boy in the manner of a Q-Tip and the whole album aims at a purer sense of Hip-Hop.Think Common,A Tribe Called Quest,De La Soul kinda music and you know what I am talking about.

Other highlights are 'You Are Now Tuned In' and 'Mind Power' and thwe albumis consistent in its production and MCing quality. However there is a few filler tracks, unsuprising as it clocks in with a huge 22 tracks. But this is a good debut-the potential is very clear and I can see a lot of people on this forum liking this album a lot.

Buy retail rather then downloading this stuff as well you cheap SOBs.;)

Re-read the rules and please realise that when you post in threads make sure your comments are relevent.

    Back on topic..

Yes. The Find is outstanding. A very good and relevant review there.

He has signed to the amazing Ubiquity label who seem to be a leading light in Current Hip-Hop/Soul and Funk Music.

The album is as good as any other in the feel good hip hop Genre and Ranks as high as the J5 EP for a Debut.

Found it hard to find to buy a while back.. Got it in City Discs.. Worth buying..

Yeah I am beginning to appreciate it more and more, mainly because this kind of music is pretty rare these days.Anything else worth getting from Ubiquity records?

This is a long shot but the brown top Ohmega is wearing on the cover.Anyone know what brand that is or anything about it?

    Orizio..

The Breakestra's new record is out on Ubiquity. Called Hit the Floor. Outstanding Funk and soul album. The best in the genre in a long time.

Nostalgia 77 Has an album called the Garden from last year. Instrumental. Amazing..
If you get a chance. Tru thoughts have a sampler CD for sale. Think its about 7 quid. 12 tracks. One of the coolest albums I have got in ages. Tru Thoughts are kind of in Partnership with Ubiquity.

Thw Wizz Kid that is Quantic is also doing some amazing Solo things at the minute as well with The Soul Orchestra..

As for the T Ohmega Watts is wearing.. Think he has something to do woth 3sixteen clothing..

Check There website for an online store..

    Hope this helps.
