Picked up a copy of the Village...smaller/ more compact than the Berliner format in which it had been coming out. Seems to be uping its game somewhat - going more investigative, getting Frank Connolly in etc....

Ah how times change - twas only last December that Browne had an interesting take on the McDowell/Connolly affair, with an editorial titled "Frank Connolly has questions to answer"

Not to let consistancy get in his way, by the next issue Vinnie had penned a piece titled "McDowell abused office" :D

All the same there probably is a place for Village on the shelves , along as they stick to investigative - and not the Da Vinci 5hite that had as front cover last week!

Any thoughts...Would you buy...or would you pass?

I would. If only to support a possibly viable alternative to the neocon muck that is coming out of just about all the main nationals at the moment.

I purchased Village once..... spelling errors on first page....a lot of the articles apparently are penned by someone with the surname Browne..... Did not purchase again....
