Having an unusual problem with one of my guitars where the higher notes on the high E string oscillate a lot. Soundclip of the problem here. The notes are being held with no vibrato applied. Can anyone suggest a fix for this? This is only a recent problem and the frets still seem to be 100%. The pickups are a seymour duncan Jazz/Jb combo if that makes any difference.

    Edit: Never mind, I'm blind.

I had that problem on another guitar myself, but it was the stock pickups that were the problem, it was solved when I replaced them with DiMarzios. I don't know, it could very well be defective pickups?

    my bet is on intonation!

have you changed your string gauge recently?
