Pharmacy - A Question

I missed out on Pharmacy in UCC by 10 points and I ended up doing Biological and Chemical Sciences in UCC. I'm currently in first year.
My question is, if I finish my degree (I'll more than likely do Biochemistry) and then go to do Pharmacy in, say, Scotland, would I get an exemption from having to do the 4 (I think it's 4 anyway) years of the degree?

Also, if i get a degree in pharmacy, would I be entitled to work as a pharmacist here? I heard there was some controversy regarding irish people going abroad to get pharmacy degrees?

    Thanks.

the most you'd get off is one year. but pharmacy is different to medicine where they used to have a pre-medical year. best place to find that info, would be the admissions office of the uni in scotland, and as for whether or not you'd be able to work here, the Professional Regulator for Pharmacists (PSI) would be the best place to ask http://www.pharmaceuticalsociety.ie/

I think it's around 530-550 points here. If you do a degree first you'll get in no bother but you have to start in first year (a friend is doing this).

Well I got 550 and I think I missed out in UCC by 10/15 points so about 560/565. It's around the same in Dublin I think.

Ah right, I haven't been watching it. It was 535 when I went for it and now I realise that was four years ago. !
