Password Protecting Files/Folders?

    Hi I am looking for a nice free program to password-protect either individual files or folders, has anyone got any ideas? Thank you!

    cool thanks, i just set up rabodirect account and an aib one, and just want to keep all passwords and filessecure.

    (are u following me 'cause i'm going to werchter? you seem to be everywhere I post :))

    If you're using Windows XP, 2000 or NT with an NTFS file system, there's a very easy way of doing this.

    If you're not, instead of using some proprietary yoke, like the above, simply create a zipped file, with a long (> 10 characters) password, that's not easy to guess. Twould take a couple of hundred years to crack with a brute force algorithm.
