I am trying to convert from AVI to MPEG2 and then burn to a DVD. The AVI to MPEG seems to work fine, but when I burn to a disc and play it the lip sync is off by up to 4 seconds in places. I am using WinAVI 7.5. Any thoughts? Any one?

I had the same problem, it depends how the video was original made in either ntsc or pal. If it was ntsc and you are burning it in pal and visa versa then it off sets. Sometimes though even having both set at pal or ntsc it can off set by 1/2 a second and make it unwatchable

TBH, I've never had good results with Winavi. You could try this piece of freeware, & see how she goes.
