Where would I find USB 2.0 drivers?

I'm backing up some stuff on my older PC (one of the last Gateway 2000s before they left Ireland!), which only has USB 1.1 at the moment, even though I seem to remember it having USB 2.0 at some stage, what kind of drivers does USB updates come in?
    Chipset Drivers? Motherboard drivers?

I have the drivers System CD but the autorun doesn't give me any install options, and I tried manually setting up from the CD setup.exes but there were none that jumped out at me that included what I wanted!

I've attached a pic of the mobo info and what USB stuff is installed, it's got Service Pack 2 so that's not it.

Oh yeah, and there was no option in the BIOS to enable USB 2.0, and I'd prefer not to go mucking around with BIOS upgrades again after screwing up the last one I tried.

    Thanks in advance.

I would say look here http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-009262.htm

but first use the chipset identifcation to make sure you have the "Intel® 82801DB I/O controller hub (ICH4)". Link to it on the page

As far as I can tell you only have USB 1.1 ports on that PC. So no amount of drivers will make it 2.0.

Edit: Specs for your motherboard indicate it is 1.1

Oh god dammit, stuck with hours of USB 1.1 transfer speeds, THE HUMANITYYYYY!!! :(

Or not... I guess I can just hook it up IDE cable style!

    Thanks guys.

An old computer of mine had similar problems a Packard Bell Pentium 2. Win 98 I didn't take my memory stick and I needed to grab some files from it. As it had neither a writer or zilch except a floppy disc drive. Anyway I have a card reader for reading the media card of my digital camera. It said Win 98SE but mine was 98 only. I installed the Cd that came with the card reader and was able to transfer the files onto my 256MB Olympus XD Memory card and then transfer them onto my Dell Win XP Machine, Give it a try it might work, mine was USB 1 too also.

I think OP has a HD that they wanted to attach using an external USB caddy to the Gateway. 1.1 speeds are a lot slower than 2.0. Anyway, by the sound of things he's hooked the HD up directly using IDE.

So no idea where your camera memory idea comes into it....
