Defective Toshiba Power Plug?

    Has anyone experienced a defective Toshiba laptop power plug? Where the power cord connects to the laptop?

    Heard a rumour that Toshiba might consider fixing this defect for free, even if the laptop warranty has expired. Can anyone confirm this?

    Toshiba Satellite A70-A75s are reported to have this problem. Not sure if they will honor a machine off warranty.
