So im getting a warning whenever i turn my iPod on.

The warning looks like a little folder but with an exclamation mark beside the folder. If i listen closely to the iPod i can hear a whirring noise (hDrive) plus a little intermittent click.
Also, when I charge it, it doesnt fill up with power. The little power bar just keeps going up and up and up..

I have followed all of the troubleshooting on the apple support page.

any ideas on what to do or where to send it to get fixed?

    Thanks

Bring it back to the shop where you bought it(presuming it's under guarentee) they will send it back to CRC(I think that's what it was called) Electronics in the UK

I had something similar happen to mine a while ago (although my battery is ok). Here's what fixed it:

have the iPod at the menu screen and "Hold" button off.

Flick the Hold switch to Hold / Unhold, Hold / Unhold.

Then hold down the Menu button and the centre button together for about 10 seconds. The Ipod will power down and restart with the Apple logo. All should be ok then. Hope this helps.

I would not worry about the noise as a HDD can sound like that. I work with HDD's all the time and i still get a bit nervous when i hear the spinning and clicking noises.

    Can you upgrade/reinstall the firmware?

It's amazing how such an expensive piece of hardware is so faulty.

I still have a TV from the 1970's which works perfectly!

Lol, as your main tv i suppose?

They do be giving quite a bit of trouble though, does happen with alot of modern equipment so Apple cant be singled out
