Thunderbird/Firefox focus problem

I'm using Thunderbird 1.5.0.2 and Firefox 1.5.0.3. Integration is almost perfect, after some tweaking - if I click a mailto link in Firefox, Thunderbird opens a new mail window, and if I click a URL in Thunderbird, Firefox opens a new tab. The thing that makes it "almost perfect" - and also increasingly annoying - is that when the new tab opens in Firefox, Firefox does not have focus. Thunderbird retains focus, so anything I do on the keyboard e.g. Ctrl-W to close the new tab, affects Thunderbird instead - in the case of Ctrl-W, it shuts down Thunderbird.

This problem only occurs when opening URLs from Thunderbird i.e. opening mailtos from Firefox works fine.

DE is xfce4, and distro is Arch Linux, in case anyone needs to know.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

    TIA.
