Some Rage Against The Machine should get him politically active. :D

Other than that, maybe Kanye or one of those lads. Don't know many of his songs but he doesn't seem too bad on the old cursing and women issue (correct me if I'm wrong though!).

can't go wrong with a bit of Jurassic5
    especially the fantastic "concrete schoolyard"

if he doesn't like that then you should take the mp3 player back off the ungrateful little ****!

if he's into gangsta rap he will most likely hate Kanye, or Kangay as he is known by my friends and I

how old is he? he is probably more into the commerical side of things like 50cent or Eminem which is pretty much ganstar ****e which of course features timless lyrics such as "up inside ya head biaatch, mutha-fo"

    try some de la soul

    A Tribe Called Quest
    De La Soul
    The Roots
    Blackalicious
    Lyrics Born
    Outkast

As already said though, if he's into the more commercial side of things he will probably have no interest in most of the stuff recommended.

i know most of 50 Cents newer stuff is commercial but he definitely had some good raps on Get Rich or Die tryin' excluding P.I.M.P, 21 Questions etc.

i would agree with outkast alrite.this might be comletely out of the question, but the black eyed peas.i know they are a pop group mostly.but hey, he might like them.

Stuff he will probably take too...

    Outkast-Aquamini.
    Black Eyed Peas-Behind The Front.
    Nas-Stillmatic.
    Common-Be.
    Roots-Things Fall Apart.
    Wu Tang-Enter The 36 Chambers.
    Snoop Dogg-Doggystyle.
    Jay Z-Blueprint.
    Mobb Deep-The Infamous.
    Kanye West-Late Registration.

And I'd stay away from RATM,unless you want him to turn into a mini Che. ;)

those look like good choices mate.i would go for one of those alright.

good lists from Orizio and Makaveli there, slightly commercial accesible stuff but with alot more sense than some of the generic pop-rap around these days. plenty of suggestions on the thread below too, alot of it wouldn't be the type of things he'd probably be into though...

i dont want to have loads of tunes about blunts & b*tches,

Define irony: a poster called 3greenrizlas trying to steer his nephew away from marijuana clouded music :)
