I saw some very cheap ones on Ebay.

I got an add in the door from Havey Norman saying they do it for 699. It says "bonus 1GB card & case" so I assume that means included in sales babble. It may not be the cheapest but its a starting point. I've seen the older 5600 has dropped a lot in price around town. Might pick up one of those myself.

Fuji 5600 is well worth it.
    Pixmania

The 9500 with a bag and 1gb card is €570 on pixmania

Thanks all for your replies, i would be doubtful about e-bay, but Pixmanias deal seems good @ 506 euros, does anyone know how much the postage is on this item ?

What are the signifcant differences between the 9500, 7000 and 5600? Why do you just want the 9500?

Hi TempestSabre, the difference is, its got manual zoom so its a lot easear on power.

Battery consumption seems very good as there is no motorized lens and the startup time is very short, so it's almost a switch on and point and fire camera.

i have the 5600, when i first got it i found it very heavy on Battery's,
i bought a 15min speed charger and 2300amp Battery's. with the high powered batterys i can get about 200-250 photos with the flash and way more without the flash before i need to recharge.

Is there much difference in terms of IQ or the movies. (I like my movie clips). Was original thinking of a DSLR like the D50 but I wonder would I be happy enough with a 5600/7000/9500.

From the reviews of the fugi finepix S9500, they say the movie mode is excellent.

s9500 is 599 in PC World. If I were you I would really really consider going for a Nikon D50 with the kit lens unless you really want a non DSLR camera.
