    Hi all,

I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to record my sky feed on my pc and still allow herself in doors to watch corrie.

Basically i'd like a sky+ type set up but the recording done on my pc one with one feed and the second tv feed unaffected. And be able to change channels indie of each other

is this even possible with out having 2 feed to start with?

I could run a co-ax cable from the sky box to a tv card n record whats beign watched but thats a bit...welll...crap

any help is very much appriciated

    joe

    in essence:

    No.

Of course you can watch recorded TV while the other watches live. That said, all you need is another digibox and an LMB for your sat and away you go.

Although even with one source, if you set your computer to record your favourite shows, after about a week there is always somthing to watch on there.

Buy a 2nd digibox, you'll need a quad-lnb and a 2nd cable from the sat. Put both boxes into a huapage 500. The 2nd box will need a sky multiroom-sub or you could use a UK freesat card so the 2nd box.

Decoding sky on a PC (with a legitimate Sky card) is possible but is very much an enthusiasts solution, not really suitable for the family TV box.

get, uhf aerial with built in amp, with esb plug,it will give you perfect reception, ,on rte/tv3 to let her watch corrie,or you can take separate coax feed into tv from cable box,if you have ntl or chorus. You can put it behind tv, if you think it looks ugly.GET one with ,on off power switch.
