Saddleboards and UFH any issues?

I understand secret nailing of floor boards is a no-no with screed/UFH.
I was explaining this to a DIY savvy friend of mine the other evening
and he asked about saddleboards. His house has conventional rads
and he said the carpenter nailed the saddleboards to fix them to the
floor below the door frame. So what is the story with saddleboard
fixing in the case of a floor sitting above UFH ? Are they typically
glued down ? wouldn't nails be risky in case they penetrated into
where the UFH elements were embedded in the screed ?
