I think this is the silliest ad i have ever seen, 35k for a white 66 coupe.. rhd... does anyone agree thats really extracting the Mickey....

Id rather buy a car that was worth it.. like a fastback! and even at that id have alot of change....

Nice but about €8k too much. You could buy and import and VRT one from Oz for far less. Nice to see a clean RHD model in Ireland though, remember seeing a RHD one in Oz for the first time, very cool car, prefer the coupe to the fastback.

    Whoa, thats not cheap

I suppose the main points are:
    • 2 owners
    • low milage
    • RHD
    • V good condition

He is not going to get 35k for it, anyone know who it is?

8k too much!!!!!!!!!! i would have said more like 20K too much.. Doesnt even have original wheels... R am i missing something...... And it wouldnt be original if its rhd drive also ..as far as im aware.. It was just a requirment i think to change to rhd in Australia...but maybe im wrong..

They were built in Oz as right hand drive, by Ford Australia, so its origional, not really up on my mustangs, but using the current market price, collectability, rarity, condition, I would say it would be a good classic for €24000 or there abouts. They sell in oz for around AU$30000 mint, which is around €18000.

I would have guessed about 25 tops, bottom line is its just 66 coupe, not rare or special, nice car don't get me wrong.

I agree that it's about 20K too much.As far as I know Mustangs never came with leather, only vinyl or cloth, but thats just nit picking.Their are minter fastbacks going for less.

Check this website, its the Oz version of car zone, you have your pick of RHD mustangs, from a $16000 project to a $49000 minter, cost about €2000 to ship, and I take it for granted that VRT is classic rate plus 21%vat for non EU import.
    So
    AU$39000 = €23000
    + 21%
    + €2000
    =€29838

Assuming that it cost au$39000 dollars which I doubt.

Of course this is not a joke! This being Ireland, people routinely hugely overestimate the value of their cars. But it seems there are also plenty of gullible muppets willing to pay over the odds so everyone goes home happy.

Seems like a crazy price alright. Low mileage but €20k? The colour is pretty dodgy too. Nice seat covers!
My parents always drove these cars in their hey-day. They should have kept them!

Those other two are over priced also. One is a straight 6 and the other 2.5, probably a six also. Read any classic mag and they will tell you to steer clear of 6 pots, the money is in V8's.Even though I love them, if mine hadn't had a V8 I'd have never have bought it, it's the only thing they have going for them IMHO.They be value at 8K if you had a V8 to stick in one.

Do you know the best fun I have with the Mustang on twisty roads, its not as much fun on the M1 with foot to the floor and people cruising past you.

There was a convertible 68 at kilbeggin for sale for 25k  nice car, not worth that though.

I agree def not worth the 25K..i had a good look at it also... But it was nice... maybe 18k i reckon at a push.. There was something dodgy about the drivers side though..Reckon it might have been crashed... Also he could have improved the interior somewhat...

I remember seeing a lot of RHD mustangs in Oz, There were companies that would carry out conversions, I read somewhere that LHD was not permitted. Mustangs wouldn't be too bad to run out there, the petrol was about half the price it was here at the time.

From the posts above, sixties Mustangs were built and sold new in Australia?

I heard that the last generation Mustang was sold there new and RHD but I wasn't aware of the older models. I assumed that they had all been imported.

By the way, I saw a Red 65 Coupe in Mondello a few years back, Rhd, ZV Reg and parking permits from Sydney on the windscreen. So theres at least one other Rhd Mustang in the country.

And that price seems excessive. and its white, and i personally would not like the wheels...
