With the World Cup just around the corner, im looking at getting one of those tv sticks so i can watch those 2pm games in work :)

So for anyone working in the UK (like me) atm, i found this one: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/108219 which from looking around at other sites it appears pretty damn cheap. It works out at about 23pounds inc. tax/delivery. It picks up free-to-air digital tv, lets you record tv, supports HDTV + a whole bunch of other stuff. Very tempting.

For anyone ordering from Ireland though looks like they add on a 25pound surcharge for delivery :/
Anyone find any cheaper ones that ive missed? And that can be delivered to Ireland?

he says he's in the uk, so it should work fine depending on freeview reception in your area

why can't it pick up digital here? im in the north east, get all the uk channels etc no bother on normal TV, could i not pick up digital freeview?

    I don't think you can.
I bought a freeview reciever in Newry and I live in Drogheda, only 1 hour from the Norht, and I couldn't pick up anyhting - I ended up giving to my sis who's in college in Coleraine.

If you can get channel 5 and the other uk channels fairly clear you should be able to recieve freeview.

Beware of some usb tv sticks! The ones that look small generally rely on the computer to do a lot of the decoding / encoding and hencerequire a failry hefty processor (> 2ghz). So if you have a laptop - beware...
