fitz 1/2... i've just sat down with 100 and recognise a few of the players at the table. I get Ah-Kh in 1st position and flat call, there are a few callers as is usual and we see a cheap flop (12 in pot).

flop comes K46, with 2 spades on it, the blinds check and i make it 10, player to my left calls and the rest all fold. This player is young enough but always seams to have a nice bankroll in front of him, 200-300 usually, i dont know if this is what he sits in with or what he wins his way too. Previously i've seen him chase flushes for 70+ but also fold middle set from the flop. (32 now in pot)

turn brings the 9 of spades, i purposefully go for my chips then look at him and check (comments?) and he then does the same, he goes for his chips and checks too.

The river brings an ace of diamonds, giving me top two pair, i lead out with 15 and he goes all in... he has me well covered and i have about 70 behind... now what...?

cash games are nuts. you have 70 left there is about 100 in the pot with his all in?

he probably has the blue (as I've taken to calling it) but if he's a good player he probably knows you don't and is representing it with maybe two pair in reality or a busted straight. so i would call. it depends what your instincts are telling you and for that you have to be there.

cash games are always mad so if you're not the one who is doing the putting the fear onto them then its best not to bother with them.

call it, ask to see his hand and if you're beaten throw yours away without showing. they'll think you're a loose goose and you can trap them later.

Call, he can have any 2 pair or be bluffing.

I assume you forgot to raise here. In those games you should raise every premium hand you get. As it stands, if it is iBot, fold instantly, that guy is an absolute nut-peddler.

If the game is in anyway loose I prefer limp raising with big hands from UTG and UTG+1.

I'll call here but I expect to be behind alot of the time. I hate when the river makes your hand look better. Make sit that much harder to fold. If it was for 700 or I was a student i'd fold. the fact that it's 70 makes it an easy call.

RESULT: i called and he turned over Kx and i took it down. I called fairly quick but thinking back had i taken my time with it I could have talked myself into a fold, it was a nice play by my opponent IMO but he berrated himself for not rasing the turn, which i think would have got me off the hand.

iBot, this hand was last night in the fitz, at about 12.30 am i'd say, in the corner table, i was about seast 7 and my opp was seat 8 or 9, was this you?

Why did you reach for your chips then hesitate?Normally if someone does this I pump it.Similiarly if Im thinking of making a bet and they reach....(although the second only really applies to poorer players).
