New Search Function

What's with the new search tool? It doesn't seem to be very good. There's no advanced search option anymore. Also, it doesn't seem to search very well. If I search my name it gets 3 results. Is this permanent?

Working perfectly like normal for me. I get 2 pages of my posts in the last 2 weeks which is about right.

The new search is considerably different. It's supposed to lessen the load on the servers. Some more info,from the horses mouth:

Nah, I wanna search my name to see who's quoted me so I can reply to that post if necessary.
So I don't search by user name.

We will add thread search by author to the next version of the search mod. :cool:

Also bear in mind we didn't index all accessible threads here yet, our spider is busy scanning older threads now but its done slowly to avoid causing load issues and there are lots of threads to index so it will take some time.
