Laforteeza $25 - 24hrs challenge

In case anyones forgotten/didnt see the old thread, this was the basics of the challenge:

Everybody starts with $25 and has 24hrs to turn it into as much money as possible. Whoever won the most would win. The twist was that everybody else would have to give the winner all the money they won in the 24hrs, so this could turn into a very profitable/kick in the nuts challenge.

There was a lot of interest in the challenge but it never started as it was too tough to monitor.People could lie about winnings etc/make extra deposits/ edit screenshots to show extra profits etc. To me this was a great challenge as it tested bankroll mgt, involved some gambling, and in general just gets the compeitve uices in me flowing, so I was hinking of ways it could work.

    Heres my suggestion:
We find a random Tribeca site(Tribeca because its familiar to us, has hundreds skins, and has plenty small stakes tables). We contact admin from this site, and we arrange a special link to be set up so that boards only players sign up through the link. We can arrange for admin at the site to monitor everyones account during the 24hrs, so he can inform us at the end of the 24hrs how much everyone made etc. The admin would be doing this in return for 20/25 players signing up and depositing real money at their site and generating rake for them. So we would now have an external source monitorig our accounts so no cheating would be possible.

Now i know Tribecas not everyones cup of tea and has a lack of Omaha tables etc, and it would be preferable if we could play on diff sites etc, but it is impossible to monitor. Regarding payments at the end I presume we all have Neteller(if not set 1 fekin up!!) so paying the winner should be grand but it would probably rely a lot on trustworthiness.

    What you guys think?

I doubt the admins of a poker sites would really bother to keep track of 10+ peoples accounts for a challenge like this.

Feel free to contact them and find out what they think though.

Didn't someone have the idea that you could create the account and monitor it, change the passwords each time a new person has their 24 hours. I know its a lot of trust to put in one person, but I triust you, plus I could probably find out where you live quite easily. :D

I reckon the admin of the site would be ok. All they would have to do would be to let us know that each person only deposited $25 and how much each person had in their account at the end of the 24hrs. They would be getting 15/20new players to their site. Sure other poker forums have deals with sites giving them WSOP seats for getting 50/60new players.I will go send an email to a couple of skins over the wwekend see what the response is.

Nicky unsure what you talking bout monitoring passwords etc, i dont get what your saying...i aint a technical guy!

I do not think admin for a site would do this. Apart from anything else, discussing an accounts transactions with anyone apart from that account holder would be against their policys and I cannot see you being able to convince them otherwise.

Ok I fired off an email to a site, and got a "We'll get back to you on this matter" reply. So it might be possible for a site to monitor selected accounts and basically confirm or deny that Player1 did/didn't use more than $25 over a certain time period. I'll post any updates.

Monitoring that no lodgements/withdrawals happened from the account was the easy bit. Monitoring that a 'friend' wasn't dumping money to you while you were playing was the big problem.

nice 1 Karl and thanks for sending an email Laforteeza. The friend dumping chips...well i think that yes that would be a problem but tbh the challenge could then never work if people are scared by this. It would be up to the integrity and honesty of all the players involved,if someone is so desperate to go to such lenghts to screw other boardsies then they gotta have a look at themselves. Im happy to do the challenge even with this danger...tink it would be good craic aswell, seeing whos still up on your buddylist at 5am grinding away at a $5stt!!
