    Hello,

Basically looking for more than a bowl and a bag of goldfish :D

Newlands is ok its on the clondalkin end of the belgard road (near bewleys hotel)

theres two places in dun laoighre one for saltwater and one for fresh the saltwater ones near the FETAC college and the freswater ones off one of the village streets.

one in stillorgan down the road from the shopping centre (through stillorgan do a left at the turn just before the bowling alley and straight down on the left hand side.)

theres a couple more in town good one is opposite the ilacs north entrance.

Thats a few places to start anyway.

They only do freshwater fish, i'm assuming the OP wants marine fish if he's planning on keeping Coral:D

The shop i mentioned above in dun laoighre deals only in saltwater fish, cant remember the name of it but if youre heading towards the fetac college from the village its your last left before the college.
Just remember though youl only get one fish in a saltwater tank for every five you could fit in a freshwater

Fish Antics http://www.fishantics.com/ is the place in Dunlaoghaire which does marine only, http://http://www.aquatic-village.com/home.asp is in Brittas and probably the best around the Dublin area.

The best advice i would give when buying equipment is to SHOP AROUND!
There are huge differences in prices from place to place.

If you dont mind a little drive http://www.kilkennyaquatics.ie/ is the best in ireland and there prices are excellent.

For fish advice I've always found Kevin or John in Wackers on Parnell Street, accross from ILAC (behindO'Connell Street) to be mucho helpful.

Have you kep fish other than GF??

Be warned, fro someone who moved very quickly from a 35 litre cold water to 400 litre tropical, there is a huge learning curve. If I can offer on bit of advice by a book called "you and your aquarium" by Dick Mills, its an excellent resource.

the best shops for saltwater fish would have to be fish antics, just make sure simon is there , give them a ring before you call,
killkenny aquatics is closed so dont go there,
aquatic village also sell saltwater fish but find fish antics quality in fish better,

enjoy as fish tanks can be so addictive
