Can anybody clarify whether Nunchaku are illegal or not? In both Ireland and UK.

I've been thining of making some and flogging them off on eBay. I noticed there's loads for sale on eBay, but they are generally foam/practise ones, not the real deal.. However if it'l illegal, then I might just give it a miss....

    Cheers..

They're not illegal unless you carry them with intent to use them against someone.

There's no problem with having them in your bag going to training or in your house.

When I had a MA shop we contacted the Garda about the fact that we were goning to be selling weapons like chucks and swords. But they said thats fine and offered us a box of about 50 pairs of chucks that they had taken from people and wanted to get rid of!!

The Garda said that we might know someone that could use them?? :D

Is it ok to send swords and chucks to Ireland? I'll be in china for July and august and was told they are very cheap over there (yes I hope to use them for training).

I was also told I can take them to finland with me if they are in my main baggage :D

\you have to declare them if you are sending them by Postal service or taking them on a plane they have to be in your main baggage as you said!!

But say that they are wall decoration not practice tools.
