    Hi,
When I go to this log in page for rabodirect, they tell me to push the orange button on the 'digipass' to begin.

But for me the orange button is not any kind of link, and pushing on it makes no diffrence.

I am trying to do this through a college network, but i would be surprised if that was affecting it,
    have you any ideas?

    cheers.

From what I gather you are trying to click the picture of the orange button on the picture of the Digipass.

In actual fact what they are asking you to do is press the orange button on the digipass you have that was supplied to you! Its generates a code that is valid for only 36 seconds or so for increased security.

Find out for information here: http://www.rabodirect.ie/security/digipass/digipass.asp

I just tried it in Firefox 1.5.0.3 with out filling in any data and pressed the orange "login" button (is that the one you are having trouble with) even though it doesn't look like a link and it took a few second but it came up and said invalid pass etc. so it does seem to be working.

Dont have IE6 on hand to test with as this box has IE7 on it.

They mean the button on the small, hand-held unit you got with your Rabo account (the Digipass), not the web page. It looks like a small calculator, with an orange button, just like in the picture :)

    No!

You just press the orange button, which gives you a 6 digit passkey. Use that along with your customer number to login.

No, you fire it up, enter your passcode and it generates a code for you to type into the website.

It's a means of making sure you have possesion of the digipass. Passwords and pin numbers can be stolen, cyber-criminals might not find it as easy to steal your digipass since it is stored securely in your pocket. :)
