don't learn essays per se. just learn key points and try and fit them into whatever essay you do

if i were you, i'd do the redemption of lear, and key scenes, like the storm and reunification of lear and goneril.

Rumour in my school is that Blindness/A man more sin'd against than sinning are tipped to come up. But didn't the second one come up a few years ago only?

also did Lear for my leaving, really tripe. I'm sure in its day it was class but i didn't like it one bit. Maybe modern day films have ruined the tragedy as a genre for me as I always expect a happy or just ending

Wait...is coming up on a mock paper a good or bad thing? We didn't do mocks. Or christmas tests for that matter.

There is something not right about that.

I wouldn't suggest learning off whole essays.Rather have a good understanding of the play itself and know key moments, key quotes and I know we specifically dealt with Cordelia,Goneril,Regan and Lear himself.

Imo KL is the easiest part of the exam.Once you get around the language you'll notice the plot of the play is really quite simple and the characters easy to grasp.

Same here...just from an hour or so of looking back over it I had a good deal of it remembered. I know everything really well, it's just getting that into an A standard essay which is the hard bit.

And yeh, we don't do mocks in my school but we've had a bit of hard luck this year as well. Haven't sat proper tests in a year at this stage. Alot of stuff is happening that is going against the grain for me to do well in the LS
