Just wondering if many people bother logging on to the websites of radio talk shows like Hook, The Last Word, Gerry Ryan etc.

They don't seem to put too much effort in to their webpages, but do you think if they pushed for more interaction through the site, they would getting more hits?

Not sure, The NEwsTalk 106 website is very content-sparse but at least the page design is simple and easy to navigate. I do think that the News section on Newstalk needs some serious input as it is only headlines and ther is never really a lot there. Perhaps once they are national they will put more content on.

Today FM need to seriously update their website, it's awful! The web developers might be okay but the web designers should be shot. The colours and fonts used are ridiculous. It looks like someone designed it in thirty minutes using MicroSoft FrontPage!

In fairness though most people only visit the sites for the live stream and I'm not sure whether they really want more hits per se, they are more interested in getting actual listeners.

I suppose if there was more on the site people might be inclined to listen longer but it doesn't work for me, I get the stream going and then visit other websites.

I put plenty of effort into the site for my radio show...

RTÉ's show sites seem decent enough too

Wow, you certainly did put in some effort, looks great!

You wouldn't pop down to Today FM and set them right would you?:D

Off topic: You seem to do loads of stuff! Writing, present, produce, web develop, your job...do you sleep?:D

yeah, i think the today fm site is actually great! In school we'd be on it quite a bit, between gift grub and ray foley (and his blog) etc., and the content on the DJ's sites
But, of course theres the www.fired.tk which i run for the Fired.tk Audio Entertainment Show

The Today FM site may have good content but it is the most poorly designed site I've seen in a long time, the colour scheme and background are wrong, some of the fonts are terrible...overall it looks amateur! Some parts are okay, it looks as though several teams have had a hand in the design and just patched over work done by the initial design team.

I love today FM but hate the site!
