Another domain transfer question

    I'm looking into changing domain register for a .com

    My problem is the .com expires in just over a week.

    The whois tells me TransferGuard LOCK Status => ENABLED

    should I just reregister it with the current crowd and transfer it then ?

    Once the domain is unlocked it should transfer quick enough , get whoever you are moving the domain to , to submit the transfer request straight away.

    how do you go about unlocking it ? :) I'm gonna guess just ask them to unlock it or should I have access to change it ??

    You will need to contact your current registrar to have them unlock it.
