I'm planning my summer holidays. Theres a group of lads (27/28). Now we want a lively night life and good craic - the usual sun holiday jazz, but not the overpriced Ibiza booze hell.

Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't be going to Ayia Napa?
    Or make any good suggestions??

Ayia Napa is good craic and very lively during summer. Nice beaches and nice place.

Downside is that its VERY expensive the Cyprus pound is stronger than Sterling!!!!

Try Hersonissos in Crete also , there are apartments called Acropolis in Hersonissos and they are basic but clean and close to nightlife. Try www.stein.ie or is it www.steintravel.ie they do them and they are not too badly priced either.

I would say either ayia napa or ibiza but a/n is much dearer than ibiza personally if i was choosing for a group of lads like that i would definitely say ibiza its not that expensive and there is so many bars and clubs

Worse than Dublin if you can imagine that mate!!!! I knew before that it was expensive but i got a shock when i got there !!!!

I never been to Ibiza but I heard its very expensive to get into some of the big clubs etc.....I think Panorama holidays have some good apartments there though.

Yes, Ayai Napa is very expensive. Two years ago, a bottle of Bud was the equivalent of €6 in many bars.

(IMO it is very overrated as a holiday destination).
