Front Tyres - Panaracer Mach SS or SK

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a replacement front tyre for my 80%/20% commuter/off-road bike. I've narrowed it down to the harrowing choice between Panaracer Mach Semi Knobby or Semi Slick and my brain is frying trying to decide between the two. Anyone any advice? Coverage on MTBR.com is mixed, some use SS front and SK rear, and vice versa, but the main jist is that neither is great in mud.

I sometimes find myself in mud and forests but mainly I cycle on grippy surfaces. I've a semi-slick on the rear which I'm happy enough with (different brand).

    Ciaran
