KQo, a gambler and one ticket!

Fitz Satellite to the Showdown Poker Tour main event. We are down to the final table. 9 players left and 3 prizes.
1st = 5k ticket
2nd = 500 ticket
3rd = 500 ticket

I have 35k which is about average.
Blinds are 800 - 1500

1st hand at the final table... so button is on seat 9.

I get KQo in seat 6 (medium position)

Folded to me and I raise to 4500.

Folded to the button who pushes all in for 19,500. He is a good player, but is definitely a gambler... we clashed a lot on the previous table, and I never really showed down a good hand ! I called an all in with K high, and I won two monster pots with KJ.

call or fold?

Looks like a small pair to me, if you feel doubling your stack makes you a strong favourite for the ticket then call for a race.

Did you win it? Is there a sat on thursday?

Very aggressive player, could do this with any two cards he feels are live.

The sat on Thursday is at 4, 100euro multi rebuy.

Then I call, normally I fold even against a "gambler".

unless you have been Lagging it up I dont see how he can be a good player and a call here even worth contemplating

well, there is 27k in the pot. it is costing me 14k to call. There is only one ticket, and this guy will gamble. He also knows I'll be crippled if I call and lose, whereas if I fold I'm still fine. I figured he was using that folding equity against me... I still don't know what the best play is. Maybe as Oscar said, raising with KQo in the first place was a mistake!

He doesnt have enough chips to make you fold any semi decent hand, if he has a bad image then your probably not folding anything. I would call this pretty quickly if I thought if I agreed with bohsman opinion of him.

nope - went out 5th with TT when i let the BB/CL see a cheap enough flop with KQ.

I aint folding for that price unless I can clearly put him on AK/AQ or QQ-AA. It's possible that you will be up against AK/AQ often enoguh for folding to be correct here though. You know what is range is so so you know waht to do.
