Paddy Power Poker - suspect?

    Hello,

This is my first post on these message boards, I am a regular on the scene and play a lot during the week particularly in the fitz, i do stick to myself though.
Recently a lad told me about this message board, so i hope its ok to join in etc.
Now i have been around many a year and have recently started the online playing craze on PPP, my question here today is what do you think of the PPP game, i am playing cash games and have to say some i find it suspect, i know its much faster and all and you play a lot more hands but i find it uncanny some of the cards coming in on the turn and especially the river, i am not that familiar with computers etc but is this software suspect whatever way the hands are being shuffled/made(don't know what you would say here), for me there seems to be way to many suspect cards - are all internet poker sites like this

Maybe its me an old fart trying to get used to the technology - but i honestly am suspicious.

    Welcome to boards.

BUT. You really shouldnt make allegations of malpractice against a company with a value of €700M. They tend not to like it. And the fact is ITS NOT TRUE. Maybe edit your post.

I was merely pointing out that a €700M company can afford better libel lawyers than the average Joe.

Its the Paddy Power staff that decide what the turn and river cards are going to be so they can extract more money from you. They all mutli-table the cash games in work and then crack jokes as they click the "inflict_1_outer button"

    Not rigged im sure,

But i was unconvinced when i lost this hand....

My Straight Flush 789TJ of clubs (I had the 7) became split pot when Q of clubs came on the river...

Lucky it wasnt for big money but still a bit suspect

    Definately worth a screeny...

Jaysus lads, has there not been a thread recently about this kind of snobbery.

And to Sacred_Git, unfortunately it's not a great start to be honest, but you can rest assured that On-Line Poker is not rigged, there's an excellent article I have bookmarked on my PC in work, which I'll post for you tomorrow if you want, but it's safe to say, that NO On-Line Poker Company is going to risk their Portion of the Multi-Billion Dollar industry to try and take someone's $100 they have staked. Nor do they need to "create action" as the gamblers do a fine job on their own!

Think about it rationallly, why would they bother, as soon as they are even suspected of messing with their RNG (Random Number Generator - computer programme that constantly shuffles the cards and makes sure it's impossible to predict the next card/flop to fall) their business goes Bang in a matter of hours. Do you honestly think they would do this??

Its more their connection issues that are suspect TBH. Tied 1-1 in the Boards Heads up and neither of us can connect

    Rigged

You can un-rig PPP if you invest in a new Pattern Mapper. I'm selling copies of mine for about $1k or 7 billion Paddy Points.ty.

Sacred_git I would encourage you to read the link that karlh posted. That link can also be found in the poker guide sticky. We prefer to use that link as the deffinitive response to any suggestion that online sites are suspect and as such threads discussing it are always closed. Having said that it's dissappointing how many people replied to this thread with completely unhelpful posts despite the fact that Sacred_git made it clear he is new to both online poker and this forum.
