    Hi,

This really isn't a technical question and if it's in a wrong forum please move it mods.

Anyways I'm shoping at elara, and I enter the checkout state, and some stupid credit card verify or some crap comes out, I can't opt out(there are no buttons) and I enter the details, it says they are wrong, I entered 3 times, and now it says my card is suspended :/ and it says payment didn't go through and it displayed some AIB number to call 1890 242428, I call, it goes through and suddenly it gets hung up. Anyways I try to order again, and again, and it says the same crap that my card is suspended but now I get email from Elara confirming my order 3 times(same order number), has anything like this ever happened to you? did I pay 3 times?

    Hi,

Is your order 80852? I checked to make sure your card is only charged once. The screen that is asking you the questions is from VISA/AIB, its called Verified by VISA, used to prevent fraud. Details here http://www.visaeurope.com/iusevisa/shoppingonline.html

    Hope this helps

Your card should be fine, if you give them(AIB) a call, they can verify your details :)

    Thank You! :)

btw a question, did only 1 payment go though or all the payments you then blocked them? when it suspended it, did it actually stop it? kinda odd how it still made the payment even after I entered the details wrong.

Its probably an automatic fraud prevention thingy on the account, happened with my Mastercard once. I had a heap of Paypal orders on it, and then €500 worth of computer parts and they wanted to make sure it was all mine. Good to know its there, eh :) Give them a call and they will lift it and within a few minutes you can use your card again.
