ReBooting Fujitsu Laptop

I'm reBooting a laptop with the recovery CD, after some of the OS files were deleted. The problem is the installation gets to about 7% and then an error message pops up saying it can't install a particular file. After retrying the same message reappears. Any idea how to overcome this or is there some other way to reinstall…
