I can't find that URL and associated info about buying a bike from Germany and importing it. I'm sure it was on here a while ago, but it seems to have gone bye-bye. Anyone know where it is or have an incredible memory for URLs?

I think there's a good link on the MAG website. www.magireland.org.

    Done and Done.

Going to pick up my shiny new(ish) VFR on thursday. :)

Excellent. Where did you buy it? Saving much moolah?
I'm thinking of doing the same for a beemer K-bike.

Of all places, I ended up buying it from Bournemouth. Saving about €3,000, I reckon. Well, €2,000 when you include the evil VRT. Still, well worth the trip.

That's an unusual switch you are making - what made you pick the VFR (out of curiosity)?

    What can I say? :o

I was standing in the shop, going Tiger-VFR-Tiger-VFR-Tiger-VFR and the VFR just won me over. Honda build quality, the low mileage, the relatively enormous change to a sporty machine (a change is as good as a rest, and all that jazz), the list of extras, plus the fact that it was absolutely immaculate, all sent me Honda's way. I admit it! I kinda played it safe, when it came to the crunch. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with the purchase, although a lot of bikes have been cutting me up. Must be the English reg. :D

Yeah, it's just funny cause a mate of mine that's been riding traillie style bikes for a while, just got himself a VFR too about 6 weeks ago. He's chuffed to bits with it. We haven't ridden out anywhere together though yet so haven't compared performances or anything but it's defintiely a nice bike. Its good to mix it up too - you've a limited amount of years to try these things so get as many different style bikes between your legs as possible! :)

PS if I see a VFR with english reg, must remember to leave it for dust
    ;)
