Just wondering if anybody knows what kind of payouts teams get for final places in the premiership

for example 1st place gets 5 million, 2nd gets 3 ... etc etc.

Tried looking for it on the internet but couldn't find it anywhere.

I'm not sure what the top prize is but I think the difference between each place is £500,000.

It was posted not so long ago. First place gets 20 million and the prize decreases 500k or 1 million with each place afair.

its 4.5 million punds a year.

edit actually the fee changes, based on the PL TV income, from PL.com:

"50% of total money goes on an equal share basis to the 20 FA Premier League clubs, while relegated clubs also receive some of this money in the form of a parachute payment. 25% of the money is paid as facility fees, which are determined by the number of appearances on television. 25% is paid in merit payments, determined by the position that a club finished in the league."

Is that not a bit daft?. The relegated clubs get more than the clubs that finish 15th or below.

its to make sure they dont go bankrupt, 15th and below are guaranteed a better income next season, by about 10m

That does make sense to me, the relegated teams will need some way to ensure that they will be able to survive outside of the premiership. But with this 6m payment, do they also recieve television money from the Championship?

Yes but its practically nothing as each team only has 3 games shown a season.

And call_me_al it was £6m for Leeds for the last two seasons.

The money should provide a big boost for Blackburn this season. There's quite a difference between finishing 15th and 6th.
