MS Media Centre - Editing Recordings?

Is there any way to edit an MS Media Centre recording from the TV?

I've loads of Munster stuff recorded all weekend and I'd like to cut it down so it'll fit on one DVD.

The file type is "Microsoft Recorded TV Show".

    Thanks!

Nope.. Movie Maker dosnt support the format that Media Centre records into.

You can use dCut to edit DVR-MS files... It works within the 10foot UI as well.

you could also use DVRMS toolkit to convert it to a raw MPEG2 file, then create a DVD from that.

You can get DVRMS Toolbox from The Green Button - you may have to register to download it.

Install it and then run the GUI version and select convert to MPEG and strip out commercials, it will take a while but you will end up with a perfect file minus all ad's. From there you can further edit out anything you dont want with a pogram like Nero or Windows Movie Maker and convert it to DVD

I had to do the same thing for RTE's coverage of the Munster match over the weekend, DVRMS Toolbox worked perfectly and removed all the commercials didn't have to do anything to it, then used another program to burn to DVD.
