Right, so I'm a n00b to BSG and am beginning to get into it.
A friend of mine has all of season 1 but for the moment can't find the mini series.

Is it very important that I watch the mini series before the regualr series?

Only if you want to understand whats going on, and how it all fits together.

Miniseries.

not hugely important but as with everything it definately helps and makes it a far more interesting watch.

I have it, I do not want to sell it however I can send it to you in the post if you want to borrow it.

I never liked the original BSG or the television show but the 2k3 miniseries and the two seasons are absolutely superb.

Also, just to clarify, I meant the original DVD - I actually went out and legally bought the miniseries and the first season....I do often forget all these crazy terms people use for certain copies!
