A silly question about Podcast

Im sure im missing something very obvious here, but how can i get my podcasts to actually go in the podcast folder, and get them on the my Ipod via i-tunes with out having to form a seperate playlist. Ie, is it possable to have i-tunes automatically upfate my ipod with the podcasts that i subscribe to? There must be a way.…
