Hey guys I am new to this and I am looking to buy a Mustang, I am not too concerned about condition as long as the body is in good condition I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to find a car in good condition as I am new to the classic car scene. As I said I would like something with a good body, running 66 to 69. Please help

you should take a trip up to easons or any good magazine shop, there u can pick up a mag called classic american magazine, all or most of the cars for sale are in the uk or northin ireland, this should give u a good idea of price's.importing from the states will work out the best value,if u do ur home work first:cool:

Yea classic american is vgood for sourcing cars. The problem with getting a good body is that it will probably have been restored in the last year or two, thats not a problem in itself but it ups the price.Fastbacks are the most expensive, coupe's can be considerably cheaper. One was been sold here a few months back for 8K, need work but a great price. Your right in going for under 69, I have a 72 coupe, although parts are available it's much easier to get them for early year models.Check out http://welcome.to/classiccarsireland for a guide on what you could expect to pay for a guarenteed good model. Let us know what you get, there is a few Mustang owners on this forum, we'd all be interested.

I saw that car and it needed plenty of bodywork ! Plenty of money to be spent there IMO.

With the strong sterling rate, I would advise to look at the continent rather than the UK, unless you have connections in the UK that make it a more suitable choice.
I can pick up some really nice examples here in Holland, Belgium and Germany, plenty of choice around these parts, almost no need to look at the US as it's a safer bet and closer to home. Also intra-European purchases do NOT require VAT payment, which imports from the States do! Feel free to talk to me about your requirements :)
