TV3 - low audio via Spur Hill (Cork) transmitter

I have heard a number of people (who receive from Spur Hill or its Collins Barrack transposer) remark how they have to turn up the volume a bit when switching to TV3. TV3 from Spur Hill always sounds lower than RTE1/2/Tg4.

I did a comparison between Spur Hill and Mullaghanish TV3 (both of which I can receive), and Mullaghanish TV3 is noticeably louder, and seems on a par with RTE (This is on Non-NICAM TV sets BTW).
Has anyone else here noticed significant differences in the FM audio levels of TV stations from different transmitters?

RTE are responsible for distributing TV3 on the Terrestrial network. I suggest you ring the standard RTE number 1850 584 584 and they will patch you through to the relevant area. I have done this in the past to report reception difficulties - with some success - and a lot of failures. I suppose you could also call TV3, I don't have a number, and they would I'm sure pass it on.
