    Never wrote a poem before. Just thought I'd try it.

    Cold Truths, Facts


    I sometimes wish I couldn’t feel
    It all
    The potency of life
    These cold truths, facts
    That stare at me
    Sneering
    “That’s just the way it is.”

    The hope and its murder
    That kills what was good
    Your mourning bitter
    That it ever
    Existed

    I know now the joy
    Is not worth the pain
    You feel when it’s taken
    And everything
    And
    Every
    Thing

    I wish I couldn’t feel
    Agony of the alive
    Truth of the living
    The devastating ecstasy
    And everything
    And
    Nothing
