does this not do the same as the IR blasters that come with an MCE remote setup? Or am I missing somthing?

I think certain old NTL STBs do not work with the MCE IR blaster as they do not use RC6 so this device would be needed. Newer ones don't need this, and if I had an old box I'd be trying to get NTL to replace it.

Ah I see.

IM having issues with the later PACE box. MCE is banging in the numbers a bit too quick. it fine except for channels that have 2 consecutive, identical numbers, ie 223 114 211 etc etc.

I'm having a similar problem too, even though I have it on the Slow setting it still has big problems with the channel up button.

Yup, thats prettymuch whats happening me. Up and down are okay though, unless there are two identical consecutive numbers. If I figure out a fix, ill be sure to post up.
