Poker tournaments in Midlands

    Not sure if this is the right place to post, sorry in advance.

    Was just wondering does anyone know if there does be any poker tournaments on in the Midland area? I heard of a few in The Shamrock Lodge, Athlone but I never know when they're on. There doesnt seem to be alot of advertising for them if there is. Anyone have any info? :D

    Should be worth asking in the Poker Forum, but this is the little I know.

    The Shamrock Lodge and Hodson Bay have both held tournaments. Previously I've seen adverts posted up on the main roads around Athlone, but I'm sure they're better advertised elsewhere. Mullingar and Longford Town have also had competitions and I'm sure there are plenty more in Offaly and Laois.

    Laois Poker Tour is in Ollie Gorman's, Mountrath next Thursday. €20 reg with 3 rebuys or 2 rebuys/1 topup each of €20.
    Games coming up in The Druid, Mountmellick, 12th July and Lethean, Portlaoise, date to be confirmed.

    There is some cards place in Athlone. Not certain. I was told about it when I was drunk. There may a casino type place on the main street. I don't think the stakes were too high.

    Alrite bud!....ders poker tournaments on in the crane club casino in mullingar every thursday nite at 8sharp.....they have cash games on every nite..minimum buy in is 50 quid but ya'd need a gud bit more den dat...its full of chinese sharks wit a fortune in chips and they'll ALWAYS call ya...hope dis helps ya!!

    Athlone has a casino, its near St. Marys Sq, does cash games.

    Poker Tournys in Athlone on Monday in the Shamrock Lodge, Tuesday in Raynors and Wednesday in The Old Oake.

    I'm guessing 18 for two reasons.
    1. they're mostly in pubs.
    2. You've to be 18 to gamble!

    bagnells pub rochfortbridge every wednesday nite at 8 oclock get there before 8 and you get extra chips its a good set up with extra prizes for best hand etc etc plus free food at the break. worth a visit.
