    Hi all,

this may be more appropriate for the travel forum, but may not get the kind of response I'm hoping for...

I'm hoping to be in Nice around the time of stage 18 and would love to go to see the climb up Aple d'Huez. I'll be driving up, if I can, and was hoping some of you may have advice as to how far in advance of the race should I be there? 12 hours? 24 hours?

    Cheers!

Try 3/4 days if you are camping or 2 days if just watching - 25k - 2million people.
