Network Monitoring

    Hey all,

Just wondering what network monitoring tools people here use?

Looking for some way to monitor all our connections so I can see as soon as anything goes down. We are looking at maybe 80 routers in total.

Currently we have NNM inhouse but it hasn't been configured and I dont know too much about it.

So yeah, does anyone use any particular products that you find usefull?
    Something you would recommend.

    Thanks

I used Nagios in my last job. Excellent piece of software.

I second Nagios - great piece of software. Use it for basic IP tests, SNMP tests (e.g. device temp.), service tests (Telnet, SMTP, POP services etc..).

Might be worth tying it in with Smokeping to record latencies to each device aswell.
