Has anyone tried to lodge money with a Laser card on Party Poker. I keep getting an message telling me to enter a valid card number. I've also tried to book a driving test with this Laser card and get an invalid card number there. Is there something up with this card or do other people have problems with Laser too?

As far as i remember Party still dont accept Laser!!! But Pacific Poker has recently started accepting Laser so perhaps Party may follow suit.

Laser for all its great features falls down in that it is Irish based and so uptake of it has been slow internationally. Although in saying that, most british poker sites accept it and now the big names are copping on so it could be the greatest thing ever!!!

I assume it is an irish driving test you are trying to book.
Didnt know that that was possible but if you find that you cant use your laser card for booking/buying other goods from sites that do officially say that you accept laser, there may be a problem with your card.

I think it must be something to do with my card as I tried my mothers card on the driving test site and it worked fine. Party told me to contact my bank but they offer no help at all, they just say everything looks fine, it should work. FFS, this is a nuisance, laser would be so handy.

No Probs with a BOI card...

...accepting Laser is one thing, be nice if I could cash out that way too though :(

Part of the Maestro network - I've used it in Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, France, and once in a while it works in the UK!!! (they need a software upgrade apparantly which only 30% of merchants have...so, you can pay by Laser for your Irish Ferries ticket in Dublin, but not in Holyhead!!! - [rant over])

Do you mean in ATMs or over the counter as here? I've always used it in ATMs, but didn't realise you could use it like a debit card.

Also, does anyone know if Pokerstars accepts Laser?

    Stars do not take laser.

However thay accept western union payments. Western union accept laser and have a 24 hour payline. The only thing is the western union charge is an added expense this way.

Get a neteller account and link it to your bank account. It's much more cost effective and using neteller means you can switch money between sites with no charge.

Yep, look for the maestro sign and use it like laser, except in the UK it usually declines if the merchant is not set up correctly..pain in the ass if you have just filled up with unleaded! :o
