hey im not much of a traveler, but thats all going to change just u watch, but i was just wondering if some nice person could explain a few things.

if u book these things on expedia for eg, do u simply print off a document and bring it to the relevant airline stand in dublin? also if u turn up at the booked hotel is it the same story.

im plannin on going to new york for maybe 2 weeks in august. will i need any special papers or will my passport do, im applyin for one of those new ones tommorro?

also they strict on the drinking age there im 19 and . . .look 21. . .but ukno

Its best to read the sticky on the forum here. It will give you info on sites where to book your holiday. Im not sure if expedia works for Irish users or not. Book your flights online at whatever airline (aerlingus.com..whatever) and then search for a cheap hotel on needahotel.com (what I use) and your set :) simple.

It depends on who flys to to the States and now who you book with. Some will send out tickets and others won't. The ones that don't will just send you an email, via expedia, with your booking number which you take to the desk at the airport.

I'm 110% sure that you won't get served anywhere in the States. The rule is that people who look under 30 get asked for ID and I even got refushed in LA because I 'only' had a passport with me.

When you book a hotel online, give them a call or e-mail the day before to confirm that your reservation. I learned the hard way. I arrived in Brussels late at night only to discover that the hotel hadn't heard of me.
