Turn up early, and sit and sweat all evening in the pit. Go to the toilet in advace...

Are they not giving the wrist tags so you can leave the pit and go back later? The only gig I'v been to that don't do this was Oxegen (then again I don't go to that many gigs). If they are not doing the tags you shouldn't have to get there early at all because other people who go in early will eventually have to leave(for a piss/food) and other people will be let in. Just keep an eye on the pit queue and judge yourself when to join it so you'll be in for Iron Maiden.

Find out if there are wrist tags for the pit though. If there are, get there early cause they only give out so many of em.

Most gigs don't tag. Dunno about the point.

Pits a waste of time anyway - you'll get much more enjoyment out in the crowd where you won't break your neck trying to see Dickinson's feet.

Nah pits rule and every gig ive been to has had some form of tag around the wrist to let people in and out of the pit as they pleased as long as they had it with on.

It's weird. Sometimes (in The Point) they'll do away with the pit altogether. Yet I'm surprised there wasn't one for Iron Maiden when they last played there; in my experience they implement a pit for gigs prone to moshing/crowd surfing. And that show was sold out too (I remember not being able to get tickets).

Yeah - and they didn't have a pit, instead they broke it up with the old-style stadium half-bars that you used to see when everyone stood at football matches. There wasn't any real moshing at all, just lots of jumping
