    A black and white shot ,I thought it was ok .
    It's been cropped ,thats all .

    Any comments

    I wouldve cropped it a bit more and when shooting it, changed the aperature a bit more to give a bit more DOF. Unless of course you were just looking to get the spines on the leaf in focus. It would have been nice if the flower below it was in focus too.

    Was it shot at f2.8 or something smaller?

    I thought the glow of the buds out of focus was nice in black and white.

    I have various shots of the same spot.
    The aperature is 1.4

    Hmmm...An aperture of 2.8 might have worked a tiny bit better - if your bored put up your other shots, would like to see them.

    Nah ,it's alright ,I was thinking about the whole death thing and how the holly is searching for life/light. Thats why I left the black in on the right and thought the focus was best at the very end of the plant.

    I am taking on board what you guys are saying, thanks :)
