1/2 PL Fitz Cash game

All holdem in the fitz last Friday. Fairly passive table with very few pot sized bets, most were 1/2 pot or even less. I am on the button and limp (along with five others) with A6s. SB completes, BB checks.

Pot 16. Flop 6610.

Checked around to me and I make it 10. Five callers (yes five) including SB.

Pot (76) Turn J.

SB comes out betting (15). Hadn't played many hands at all and could not remember one that he showed. Folded around to me and I make it 60. SB thinks for ages and calls (mmm).

Pot (196) River 2.

SB bets 40 (only has another 60 left and I have him covered).


Do I call or raise ?

Probably going to flat call here unless you know the player and think he can make this bet with a jack or suchlike, there are an awful lot of hands beating you but the river bet looks like a bit of a block bet to me, you have shown aggresion throughout the hand so I would have thought if he had the full he would just stick it in on the river expecting a call.

Edit: just reread it would he have limped pre flop with 1010 or JJ? If the answer is no put him all in I would expect him to have 10J here.

I put him in, and expect to see JT or a weak six.

I'm ruling out TT and JJ so 10,6 and J,6 are the worries here. I think you're ahead here but you'd be surprised howmany ppl limp with T6 and J6 if suited:eek:

If this was me I'd just flat call cus whenever i play 1/2 in there, I do so severely underfunded and cant stand many big hits, otherwise i would...

He's on the SB so he really has a massive range of hands. I think he's got a 6 with a weaker kicker. A read on him would be real handy here. Is he a weak player? I'm pushing the river, and I would have bet the pot on the flop, not that it makes a big difference.

I ruled out 1010 and JJ also as I reckon he would have raised with it preflop, but I was still worried that he could be holding 610, or 6J. In hindsight, he would prob have bet more with a house on the river and I agree Pillow that it was a blocker bet. I just flat called and he had 67.

amazed at suggestions of JT, surely he would know this is beat.
also rule out JJ, TT, he has 6x, but no house, as he pots the river given the strenght u have shown.

edit: just saw he had 67, perhaps your lead on the flop with your 6 led him to believe u didnt have one and he was good. Otherwise he totally overplayed his hand.
