sax / trumpet for jazz band

    jazz band in dublin looking for trumpet or sax player. we are guitar, drums and e-bass, all aged around 30. at the moment we are playing mainly real book tunes, but have original tunes as well which we would start to concentrate on once set up is complete.

    we have quite a lot of jazz playing experience, so anybody interested would need to be able to play more or less straight of sheets, and to improvise instantly. just to give you an idea, tunes we are playing at the moment are:

    -seven steps to heaven
    -nardis
    -solar
    -stella b s
    -well you needn’t
    -etcetc

    we are looking for somebody with playing and improvising experience who would add a strong instrumental voice to our trio.

    our plan is to get a song list together for summer and then start gigging asap. If you need more information please ask/pm me.

    thanks for responding, but we are actually looking for somebody for straight jazz / bebop etc., not rock, blues and the like.

    good luck with finding a band though
