Anyone use g-mac helmets with glasses?

    Hey,
just bought a new helmet a few days ago, it's a g-mac. I wear glasses and I'm having problems getting them on once I have the helmet on (as in, I can't! They just don't seem to fit without pushing extremely hard which would risk breaking the frames). I was able to put them on fine with my Nitro helmet, but of course, I'd like to use my new one! However, I think it may be just because of the awkward shape of my glasses (they have a small triangular ridge sticking out on the side of the frames).

There are 2 other g-mac helmets in the house and the cushions inside all seem to be the same design, so my question is this - have any of ye ever worn glasses with g-mac helmets? And if so, could ye please explain to me how on earth you managed it? :)

    Thanks in advance!

never heard of g-mac helmets, but always bring your glasses with you when buying a lid (same goes for buying new glasses :)

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

I've an open face shoei and use dark full eye cover shades - flexible plastic, but look great! - bought them in the airport - no make, on a stand just outside customs!! but I've bought these before in town...

In summation: I'd agree with ninja900 - change your shades! I'm planning to buy a MOMO aviator in the next few weeks and that's open face too...

Some shades just don't suit lids with the harded arms.

    Hope this helps !!

Thanks for the advice. Don't like open face helmets, I know they should be just as safe but I just don't feel secure in them..

Luckily I hadn't even removed the sticker off my g-mac, let alone rode with it, so I was in the bikeshop today and I'm exchanging it for a different coloured version of my old Nitro helmet as I know this works with the glasses. Means wearing contacts till Monday but it'll be worth it for not risking damaging the helmet by adjusting the side cushions...

Thanks all, the conclusion is that g-mac helmets + glasses don't work, Nitro helmets however are just as cheap, and the side cushions are soft enough for glasses frame to fit through!
